Searching for Information for Your Essays

It is important to always evaluate the information you find when conducting research. It is especially critically important when conducting research using Google or other internet search engines.

When you come across a website you are unfamiliar with, the best way to evaluate it is through a process called lateral research, where you simply open another tab in your browser and then look for what others have written about the site or organization.
