Annotated Bibliographies and Literature Reviews

What is an annotated bibliography?

Annotated bibliographies are often part of the research process and can be part of the conversation of scholarship. It is a way to analyze research while learning more about a topic. Annotated bibliographies generally contain a formatted citation followed by a brief description, but use your instructor's exact instructions.
